“I have been out here for a long time… 25 years. I am 46.” These words of a sex worker, known as Michelle, introduces the audience to the short video made by The North Carolina Harm Reduction Coalition.

In this short film, several sex workers are interviewed at a roadside motel in North Carolina to listen to their stories. Sharing instances of violence and drug abuse from customers, these sex workers describe the risk of their work. One sex worker goes as far to say she always has a knife for protection. But all these workers carry some form of protection in the form of condoms. This short video captures the real life stories of sex workers and raises awareness of the violence towards sex workers.
